Leaders in Transition

The Key to Success:

Fast and  Effective Integration

If you are you a leader getting ready to step into a new company or,  perhaps, new role at an existing company?   If so, then you have some big challenges ahead of you.   Here's just a few that you will need to consider:Assessing the new team;
  1. Quickly establishing credibility with subordinates, peers, and stakeholders;
  2. Understanding the culture (both macro and micro level – i.e. organizational culture as well as department/function culture – also noting culture during the predecessor’s leadership);
  3. Understanding how to navigate the board and major stakeholders
  4. Identifying the landmines, expectations, and early wins.
We have a three-step Integration Plan  that includes developing a working knowledge of Conversational Intelligence.

Our process (which includes coaching) supports the new leader's transition
  1. Turn an already strong and/or aspiring corporate leader into a truly stand-out performer;
  2. Identify the risks, challenges, expectations, organizational behavior/culture that comes with the new job/role; unearth the landmines;
  3. Develop critical people skills, self-awareness and perspective needed for the new role;
  4. Knowledge, new understanding and perspective through assessments, leadership development tools and recent research in the areas of organizational change, conversational intelligence, and neuroscience (as needed and/or requested),
  5. An action plan that supports the executive in:
  • effectively transitioning into his/her new role within 90 days,
  • reducing ramp-up time by quickly understanding roles and expectations from peers, direct reports and stakeholders,
  • identifying early wins and quickly demonstrating value,
  • establishing the team and identifying alliances,
  • identifying and addressing problem areas (people, process, organizational issues),
  • moving ahead successfully after the coaching engagement has ended.
